PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide complete and accurate information about your personal details and health.
- To ask questions when you do not understand any information or instructions concerning your care.
- To faithfully undergo the agreed therapy.
- To follow the care giver’s instructions diligently.
- To follow hand washing and other infections control guidelines strictly.
- To be responsible for all your belongings.
- To treat all hospital staff, other patients and visitors with courtesy and respect.
- To abide by all hospital rules and safety regulations.
- To observe the visiting hours schedule of the hospital.
- To use hospital property and equipment only for their intended use.
- To avoid visiting areas for which you don’t have the permission.
- To clear your dues for the treatment, wherever applicable, promptly.
- To be punctual to visit the doctor/hospital as advised.
- To maintain and produce all the medical records.
- To comply with the NO SMOKING policy in the hospital premises.
- Not to pay any kind of tips or gratuity to any of our staff.
- To participate in decisions regarding your health.
Guidelines For Visitors
General Rules Regarding Visitors
- Smoking, tobacco chewing or spitting is completely prohibited within the hospital premises.
- Please do not operate the oxygen/vacuum units yourself.
- Please do not wash personal clothes in the hospital premises.
- Please do not give any tips to any hospital staff.
- All payments and bill settlements must strictly be made at the cash counter only against a proper receipt.
- All payments should be made in cash/bank draft/valid credit cards (except Diners Club & Amex Cards). We do not accept personal cheque payments.
- Please maintain silence in the hospital premises.
- Visiting hours and rules have been developed to ensure that the care of patients is not disrupted. Visitors must abide by the rules.
- Visitors must park their vehicles in parking areas.
- Visitors should refrain from sitting or lying on patient bed, floors of patient rooms.
- Visitors are not permitted in non-patient areas such as utility rooms, nurses’ stations and kitchens. Visitors may use the cafeteria and waiting area and reserved lounges. No food or beverages may be brought into patient rooms.
- To protect patients from infections and allergies, visitors are not permitted to bring flowers. Visitors are not permitted to administer any medical treatment(s) to the patient.
- Visitors are not to consume alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, litter or loiter in the hallways while within hospital.
- Children below the age of 13 are not allowed as visitor.
- For reasons of infection control, we can accommodate only one attendant with the patient at a time, except during the visiting hours.
- Please switch off your phones, pagers, beepers and other wireless equipment in patient area and the Intensive Care zones in the hospital, such as the CCU/ICCU/NICU/CTVs ITU as this interface with the sophisticated patient monitoring systems.
- Please avoid bringing costly items like cell phones, jewellery or valuable items to the hospital. There might be a chance of losing/misplacing them. The hospital authority will not be responsible for any such losses/misplacements.
- Please do not make use of candles, dhoop, agarbattis, lighters, matchboxes etc. as they are a potential hazard in a hospital and can also trigger our sensitive smoke detecting system.
- Visitors to patients in an isolation area is subject to isolation guidelines. Visitors should check with the patient’s nurse for specifics.
- Nursing staff may restrict the number of visitors, if the condition of the patient in the room requires it.
- Please co-operate with Security Staff and the liftmen.
- Please use staircase while coming down.
Discharge Procedure
DISCHARGE PROCEDURE
Your quick discharge after a sound recovery being the objective, highly skilled and dedicated team of personnel is at work round the clock to ensure your pleasant Inpatient stay. But your spontaneously cooperation makes their task easier ·
We will start processing your hospital bill once your Doctor deems you fit for discharge. On receipt of the final bill, please settle the payments due, understand the prescribed medication from the nursing staff and collect your belongings.
DISCHARGE TIME
The normal discharge time is between 09:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Two hours grace time is granted during the day of discharge.
TIME TAKEN FOR DISCHARGE
Cash Discharge: 1.30 hrs – 2.00 hrs
TPA / Corporate Discharge: 3.00 hrs – 4.00 hrs
BILLING AND PAYMENT
Billing Cycle – 12 noon to 12 noon
After the advance payment, as treatment progresses, it is better to go on making interim payment in consultation with the concerned people in the billing section. This updating of payments helps smooth progress of entire procedure.
Final payment has to be made at the time of discharge of patients for which the billing section will consolidate all charges for medicines/ consumables/ services available during hospitalization. The Billing Department should be allowed some reasonable time as soon as the doctor signs the order for discharge.
Bills for Insured/Corporate clients are handled separately, but the ‘No Due’/ ‘Gate Pass’ / ‘Discharge Clearance’ has to be collected from Discharge Department.

PDC will not be allowed.
3.After admission all the financial transactions for indoor patients will be made from Discharge desk/ cashier.
4. Finance counselling chambers have been provided for any queries regarding cost estimate for surgeries, packages of varied treatments.
5. Discharge desk have been provided for any queries related to bills / Interim Bills and also provision of cash Deposit. (from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm).
6. Please donate/ replace the blood/blood product before the settlement of final bill which is used for your patient (if any) during the hospitalization period.
7. “Visiting Pass” which was issued at the time of admission has to be submitted to discharge desk at the time of final settlement.
